IUFE Annual Conference 2025 |
On June 23, 2025, the Institute for Environment, Peace and Development (IUFE), in cooperation with the #TechDiplomacyTalks initiative of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted its Annual Conference in Vienna. The event brought together experts from diplomacy, technology, civil society, and peacebuilding to discuss the intersection of data, artificial intelligence, and international policy.
Keynote speeches were delivered by Branka Panic and Claudia Reinprecht, offering critical insights into the opportunities and challenges of digital technologies in the context of global governance and conflict prevention.
The subsequent panel discussion featured Branka Panic, Andreas Papp, and Nathan Coyle, and focused on the role of data in peacebuilding, the promises and risks of AI, the need for evidence-based policy, and the ethical dimensions of data journalism and responsible data use.
The event was moderated by Andreas Lederer, whose guidance ensured a structured and engaging dialogue among participants.
